Really lovely GP owned practice on the Mornington Peninsula are looking for a UK trained GP to join the established and experienced team.

It is a teaching practice where several of the doctors are GP Trainers. There are 4 doctors in the practice, each working around 3 days each and sharing the Saturday morning. They also have a Locum doctor who comes in every couple of weeks.

The practice is very busy with a mixed population, there are a lot of elderly and young families in the area. They have just moved into new premises where the practice, in good traffic, is a 50 minute drive to Melbourne.

The practice is mixed billing where they bulk bill pensions and children under 16.

GPs manage their own days and the number of patients seen. Generally GPs see around 4 patients per hour. There is a nursing team providing full time cover, visiting allied health and pathology on-site.

The Location

The practice in a town 50 minutes south east from Melbourne or around a 30 minute drive from the South eastern suburbs.

It’s all about lifestyle in the area with access to amazing beaches and wineries. It has a country town relaxed feel but still close enough to the city of Melbourne.

The town has an excellent primary school where the GP Owner sent her children.

GP Job – 1 hour flight from Sydney – Earn up to $700K per year

You will be replacing a long standing GP who is retiring. The practice is very busy where doctors are booked up 4-6 weeks in advance.

The team are looking for a good all round GP. No specialist interests are required however those who have an interest in paediatrics, mental health and aged care would do particularly well.

You will be offered 70% of billings with a minimum guarantee in place for 3 months. There is the potential to earn up to $700k per year as one GP in the practice has done however the average income in the practice is between $300 – $400K AUD.

The practice is based to the west of Sydney. It is a 1 hour flight from Sydney or a 3 hour drive from Canberra. The practice is based in a popular, affluent country town where you will work in the largest practice in the area.

The practice has been established in the local area for 16 years and looks after a wealthy local population. The opening hours of the practice is Monday to Friday and Sat am only. It is the largest practice in the region and is a registered training practice with medical students from the University of Wollongong.

The practice has 8 GPs with 4 nursing staff and a reception team with Practice Manager. The team are multicultural with GPs trained in Australia and overseas. GPs in the practice have interests in Paediatrics, Aged care, Mental Health and Women’s health.
