GP Job Christchurch  – The Practice

This is a 4 GP coastal practice in the eastern suburbs of Christchurch which is a 20 minute walk to the beach or a 15 minute drive to central Christchurch.

There are 4 GPs in the practice, 2 of whom are from the UK. There are a team of nursing staff, Practice Manager and reception team who will support you into your transition into the practice. The nursing team provide specialist clinics for sexual health, diabetes support and wound care. There are Partnership Community workers who act as liaisons between general practice and the patients who are not actively accessing care when required.

The practice is part of a larger group of practices, which together make up New Zealand’s largest independent healthcare group, with 45 clinics in Whangarei, Auckland, Palmerston North and Christchurch. The clinics provide high-quality, easy to access care, with affordable fees, evening and weekend hours and both walk-in and appointment bookings for patients.

The focus of the group is to improve the health and wellbeing across the community. The network’s teams include GPs, operations managers, nurses, receptionists, clinical assistants and clinical family navigators.

They offer contracts from 12 months through to longer term permanent agreements. Working hours including weekends are clinic opening hour dependent. There is supervision and collegial support available in all practices and the group are experienced in employing

GPs from the UK so can offer lots of practical support settling in as well as the financial package available.
