GP Job Townsville – The Practice

This is an incredible GP job in Queensland, Australia within a well managed GP practice based in Townsville. The GP jobs offer the opportunity to be part of a fantastic team with excellent nursing and administration support.

The practices are private billing and treatment fees vary dependant on length and complexity of the consultation. The practices offer a range of services from general practice, skin cancer diagnosis, aviation and diving medicals and outreach clinics.

The start dates for the GP jobs are flexible and the team are looking for the right GP to who is going to fit in well into the existing happy team. You will be offered plenty of support and initial supervision during your PEP programme. We’re looking for a good, all round GP however those with clinical interests are encouraged to apply.

The Location

This a coastal city in north-eastern Queensland. It is a hub for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, rainforests and the Queensland outback. The tropical island of Magnetic Island is a 20 minute ferry ride where there are secluded beaches and abundant wildlife.

The city provides a laid back, tropical lifestyle whilst offering all the city amenities and facilities needed to support a family. The population is almost 200,000 people with world class education facilities, affordable housing and cultural events and entertainment. There are amazing beaches but also a huge range of outdoor sports and leisure facilities. The climate offers year round warm weather and over 300 days of sunshine!
