An excellent opportunity is available for a GP to join a well-established Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, approximately 50 minutes north of Brisbane.

Offering high hourly rates or 75% of billings, whichever is higher, this role provides excellent earning potential alongside the flexibility of ad hoc shifts and ongoing rostered opportunities.

The clinic is located within a modern, state-of-the-art integrated medical facility, giving GPs immediate access to diagnostic and healthcare services including onsite X-ray, pathology, pharmacy, specialists and allied health.

Both ad hoc shifts and ongoing rostered opportunities are available, providing flexibility for GPs looking to supplement existing work as well as those interested in regular urgent care sessions.

The Urgent Care Clinic operates from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, seven days a week.

GPs are offered competitive hourly rates with the security of receiving 75% of billings where this is higher. This structure provides an attractive combination of guaranteed hourly income and the potential to earn more through billings.

The clinic is co-located within a large multidisciplinary medical hub, providing an excellent environment for urgent care medicine.

GPs have convenient access to a broad range of onsite services, including X-ray, pathology, pharmacy, specialist services, allied health, renal dialysis and a clinical trials unit, as well as an onsite childcare facility. Having diagnostic and healthcare services available within the same facility is particularly valuable in an urgent care setting, allowing GPs to assess, investigate and manage patients efficiently. You’ll also be joining an established and supportive clinical team, with experienced staff and excellent infrastructure already in place.

This role offers an excellent option for GPs interested in urgent care medicine without committing to a traditional full-time general practice position.

With flexible shifts, strong hourly rates and extensive onsite facilities, it could particularly suit a GP who enjoys acute presentations, minor injuries and managing patients who require same-day medical attention.
