We are seeking an experienced General Radiologist to join our Radiology department. Day to day you will be interpreting and reporting imaging studies including CT, Ultrasound and X-Ray. You will be reporting a broad mix of complex clinical cases across general radiology including outpatient and acute imaging.

You will participate in multidisciplinary meetings, teach registrars, and be involved with the continual development of high standards within the department. Key responsibilities include reporting radiologic studies, supervising and teaching registrars and participation in subspecialty multidisciplinary meetings

The position is based at a tertiary training hospital with a Level 1 Trauma Centre serving the region: one of the busiest in New Zealand. The Radiology Department carries out approximately 200,000 examinations each year with a major focus on Emergency and Trauma imaging and Oncology.

Interventional & General Radiologist – Bay of Plenty

We are seeking to appoint Interventional and/ or General Radiologists to join an amazing team of 21 Radiologists, 6 Registrars, MIT’s, administration, orderlies, and nurses.

The Department is organised into Interventional/ fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, CT, General X-Ray, and a private MRI facility is operational onsite. The service has 4 general rooms (includes 1 room in the Emergency Department), 1 Toshiba and 1 Siemens CT scanner, 5 ultrasound machines and a Siemens angiography/fluoroscopy suite.

The radiology workload comprises of general radiology, ultrasound, MDCT, angiography and a range of interventional procedures. An on-call component allows us to offer a 24- hour acute service, with overnight reporting provided by teleradiology services.

For General Radiology, a special interest in Paediatric and/or Chest imaging would be beneficial, though all areas of subspecialty interest would be considered.

For Interventional and General Radiology, you would be joining an Interventional Radiology team currently consisting of 4 Interventionalists, (who work varying FTE). The interventional work would include a wide range of Vascular, Oncology and General IR procedures. All peripheral vascular procedures in the hospital are provided by the Interventional Radiology team and endovascular aortic aneurysm repairs are performed in conjunction with the Vascular service. There is also a range of Interventional Oncology procedures performed including trans-arterial embolisation and percutaneous ablation.

You would also contribute to our general radiology component and general out of hours roster with overnight reporting provided by teleradiology services.

There is a commitment to supporting services across 2 hospitals located in the Bay of Plenty.

We are looking for a team player attitude, with refined communication skills. Have a natural affinity for relationship building with both patients and staff and for Interventional you will require previous experience/Post fellowship training in Interventional Radiology with the ability to perform RANZCR Tier B Interventional procedures.

This is a GP owned centre with 4 GPs and a team of nursing and admin staff. You will look after a range of patients from babies to elderly. 

The practice has long standing GPs and a friendly team. Additional services include pathology, dietician and podiatry. The practice is open from 8.30am – 5.30pm daily and a Saturday morning from 9am – 11.30am.

The number of patients you see is at your discretion and the income you earn will be dependent on the number of patients seen and hours worked. This is a private billing clinic with the standard consultation fee at $80. Income potential is excellent.

The practice is based 5km from central Newcastle. It is central with easy access to the city and the beach with great shopping and coffee sops locally. 

Newcastle is a harbour city in the Australian state of New South Wales. Its plentiful beaches are linked by the Bathers Way, a coastal walk stretching between Nobbys Beach and Merewether Beach. We are looking for a GP to join a new practice opening in July 25 with scope to increase to 20 GPs over time. It will be a brand new, specialist medical centre, supported by a range of allied services, radiology, specialist services and pathology.

You will be offered 70% of billings and a flexible contract depending on your requirements. There is scope to have a sign on bonus up to $120K. A full time position is 40 hours per week however part time contracts also considered. Contracts are generally 3 years however one or two year contracts can also be discussed.

Earning potential is very high, depending on how many hours work and patients seen, some doctors can earn up to $3000 per day. 

You will be given full nursing support and a thorough induction and training program. There is a GP Lead in each centre with supervision provided. Many GPs within the centre have their own specialty with plenty of collegial support within the teams. 

The Location

The new Centre is a 50 minute drive from central Brisbane or 40 minutes to the Sunshine Coast. The area is DPA for overseas trained GPs. 

Brisbane boasts warm weather and sunny skies the majority of the time; 261 days of sunshine to be exact. Located in the Sunshine State after all.

Summer runs from November through March, with temperatures hovering between 31-33°C, June through August the thermometer reads 20-25°C (68-77°F).
