GP Job Brisbane –  The Practice

We are looking for a GP to join a new practice opening in July 25 with scope to increase to 20 GPs over time. It will be a brand new, specialist medical centre, supported by a range of allied services, radiology, specialist services and pathology.

You will be offered 70% of billings and a flexible contract depending on your requirements. There is scope to have a sign on bonus up to $120K. A full time position is 40 hours per week however part time contracts also considered. Contracts are generally 3 years however one or two year contracts can also be discussed. 

• 40 hours per week
• One evening per week 6-10pm
• One weekend shift per day
• Time off during week for the weekend / eve shift

Earning potential is very high, depending on how many hours work and patients seen, some doctors can earn up to $3000 per day. 

You will be given full nursing support and a thorough induction and training program. There is a GP Lead in each centre with supervision provided. Many GPs within the centre have their own specialty with plenty of collegial support within the teams. 

The Location

The new Centre is a 50 minute drive from central Brisbane or 40 minutes to the Sunshine Coast. The area is DPA for overseas trained GPs. 

Brisbane boasts warm weather and sunny skies the majority of the time; 261 days of sunshine to be exact. Located in the Sunshine State after all.

Summer runs from November through March, with temperatures hovering between 31-33°C, June through August the thermometer reads 20-25°C (68-77°F).

Spring is the most picturesque time of year, with the Jacaranda trees in bloom, sending a sea of purple flowers across the city.

Foodies will find themselves in a city armed with a blossoming number of fine diners, specialty bars and craft breweries. While the culturally inclined will find solace in the impressive array of artistic precincts in South Bank and Fortitude Valley; GOMA, QPAC, Judith Wright Centre, and Brisbane Powerhouse.
