GP Job South of Auckland- The Practice

We’re looking for a GP for this small, semi-rural practice based between Auckland and Hamilton. It is a 3 GP practice with a Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Prescriber. They’re a close-knit team with regular team meetings and peer review.

Accredited by the Royal College in NZ, they provide training for GP Registrars and have a focus on education. The Practice Manager is very proactive and innovative, there are nurse-led clinics and lots of support for doctors.

The local hospital is 40 minutes away and the urgent care centre is within 10 minutes drive. The patient mix is diverse from wealthy local farmers to a high-needs population and a 26% Maori population.

The practice is open Monday to Friday with no weekends or after-hours. You will work 8 sessions per week with a flexible working day. Patients are booked in 15-minute consultations and there is allocated time for a break, paperwork, and lunch. It is up to you how you wish to manage your work day.

The salary is excellent, you will be offered a top-of-the-scale salary with a government-funded relocation payment of $20K.
