GP Job Auckland – The Practice

Ref: 148

This practice has been established in the area of over 20 years and has a great reputation. This is a teaching practice with a commitment to continuing education.

There are 14 GPs currently working in the practice with a range of skills and interests within the practice covering a full range of GP and skin/minor surgery services. It is a friendly, multi-cultural team with a lovely family feel.

The practice is open between 7.30am– 7pm weekdays and a Saturday morning am walk in clinic. After hours are covered by the local accident and emergency service.

Alongside the GP team, there is a busy team of nursing staff who manage immunisations, chronic care management and blood taking.

They are an excellent team with other UK trained GPs working happily in the practice. The team pride themselves on offering excellent patient care and are looking for a friendly and dedicated GP to complement a strong existing team. A relaxed GP who is keen to immerse into the NZ way of life and practice is ideal! The practice also looks after a local retirement village so an interest in elderly care is always helpful although not essential.

The Location

Howick is a beautiful suburb in Auckland which lies to the east of the city centre only a 30 minute drive. Howick has a village feel, there is a park across from the practice with views spanning over the water and many shops and cafes for lunch.

Auckland consistently is rated one of the world’s most liveable cities and is a thriving multi-cultural hub of cuisine, music, art and culture. There is a prestigious university and international airport connecting to the rest of NZ and round the world.

Based around 2 large harbours, this is a large city on New Zealand’s north island. In the centre, the iconic Sky Tower has views of Viaduct Harbour, which is full of superyachts and lined with bars and cafes. Auckland Domain, the city’s oldest park, is based around an extinct volcano and home to the formal Wintergardens.
