An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Radiologist to join a large, well-established tertiary radiology service in Christchurch, the largest city in New Zealand’s South Island.
This role is suitable for general radiologists as well as those with subspecialty interests, offering flexible employment options including permanent or fixed-term contracts, with full-time and part-time arrangements available.
You will join a collaborative, forward-thinking radiology department delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging across a diverse and complex case mix. The service is supported by modern facilities and advanced imaging technology, enabling both general and subspecialty practice within an integrated tertiary healthcare setting.

The role involves delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and reporting across a diverse case mix, working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance.
You will support teaching and professional development where appropriate and maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards. Applicants must hold Fellowship (or equivalent) in Radiology, be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, and demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centred care, and effective teamwork. Subspecialty expertise is welcomed but not essential.
