This is an excellent opportunity for UK-trained Emergency Medicine Consultants looking to combine a varied and rewarding clinical role with an outstanding lifestyle in one of New Zealand’s most desirable regions.
The Emergency Department sees approximately 22,000 presentations per year, offering a diverse and interesting case mix including acute medicine, trauma, paediatrics and rural emergency presentations.
You will join a collegial and supportive Emergency Department team working alongside experienced consultants, registrars and highly skilled nursing staff.
The service is currently expanding and introducing 24/7 registrar coverage, with Senior Medical Officers providing strong clinical leadership on the shop floor throughout the day and evening.
