The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity is available for a GP to join a busy, established mixed billing medical practice approximately 45 minutes north of Brisbane.

This is an accredited, well-established medical centre with a team of six clinic-based GPs, alongside a further three doctors providing aged-care services.

Doctors are supported by experienced nursing, administration and practice management teams, allowing GPs to concentrate on providing high-quality patient care.

The modern clinic includes eight consulting rooms, a fully equipped treatment room and dedicated procedure facilities, with physiotherapy and other allied health services also available.

The practice has a strong existing patient base and ongoing demand for additional GP services, providing an incoming doctor with excellent earning potential from the outset.

GPs are offered 70% of billings together with a $200 per hour guaranteed income for the first three months, providing additional security while establishing their patient base. Approximately $15,000 relocation assistance is also available with a two-year contract.

Located within a larger corporate medical group, the practice benefits from established infrastructure and central support across areas including IT, HR, finance, marketing and operations, while doctors retain clinical autonomy.

There is scope for an incoming GP to develop their own areas of clinical interest, supported by an established and growing patient population. The practice also participates in GP registrar training.

The Location

The practice is located in the rapidly growing Moreton Bay region, around 45 km north of Brisbane. It offers a particularly attractive balance for GPs who want access to a major Australian city without necessarily living in the centre of Brisbane.

The area sits between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, with Moreton Bay, Bribie Island and the Glass House Mountains all within easy reach. The Moreton Bay coastline is around 20–30 minutes away, while Bribie Island can be reached in approximately 35–40 minutes.

For families, the wider area offers schools, childcare, parks, sporting facilities, shopping and healthcare, together with a broad choice of family housing. Housing generally offers more space for the money than Brisbane’s inner and middle-ring suburbs.

Transport connections are also convenient, with direct road access to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast via the Bruce Highway and rail services towards Brisbane. Brisbane Airport can generally be reached in around 40–50 minutes, depending on traffic.
