GP Job Auckland Suburbs – The Practice

This is a busy, patient family focused medical centre,  55 minutes from the centre of Auckland City.

The practice consists of 7 GPs, 2 Nurse Prescribers, 4 Registered Nurses,  4 Medical Receptionists/Administrators and a Practice Manager.  The team is very representative of the area and most of speak more than one language.

As a VLCA (Very Low Cost Access) provider, the practice are aware of the importance they play in ensuring our community can access primary health care and the role they play in improving our communities health outcomes.

There are just over 9000 enrolled patients.  67% of registered population are Māori or Pasifica and a further 13% are of Asian ethnicity.  The team are proactive in ensuring equity and we have mandatory training for Cultural competency, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Privacy and Child Safety.

The GP Job

You will be offered an excellent salary and relocation package. Working hours are generally 8 sessions per week with a full day off. Thorough full inductions onsite for all new staff members and ongoing training to keep up to date with regulations and have weekly full team meetings. There is amazing collegial support within our Practice, including from three Fellow GPs.

The practice is open Monday to Friday and operate morning and afternoon sessions. Each session has twelve 15-minute patient appointments.

 The Location

Located within the Manurewa-Papakura ward of Auckland.  The ward has a total population of around 190 000 people.  There are plenty of activities to do in your spare time.

Only a 55 minute drive from the centre of Auckland City; 24 minutes drive to Auckland International Airport; 1 hour 15 minutes to Hamilton; 3 hours to Taupo.
