The Practice

The practice is based on the East Coast in beautiful sunny Hawkes Bay, it is a thriving teaching practice with a young and friendly team. The practice has 4 sites and each practice has it’s own environment so if you have a preference for city life or the quieter pace of a family-focused, small practice, then there will be something to suit.

The Position

We are looking for a well-rounded GP, who is able to provide the full range of primary care services to the large and diverse population, to join the team on a long term or permanent basis. You will be required to participate in the GP On-Call and weekend roster up to 5-6 weeks on average.

Standard GP consultation time is 15 minutes utilising an excellent patient management system. The practice, like most in NZ, are offering their patients telehealth and video consults alongside face to face consultation.

The Location

Hawkes Bay is full of character with lots to do for the whole family.  There are over 70 wineries in the area, wonderful scenery and festivals. It is a very family-friendly city, with playgrounds, Ocean Spa, cycle and walking tracks. There are lots of local live music festivals held every summer at a couple of the big wineries with top music acts from around the world.

There are some beautiful beaches in Hawkes Bay with a couple of swimming beaches within Napier. Close by there are surfing and kite surfing beaches with nothing too far away.
