The practice is in a group which  make up New Zealand’s largest independent healthcare group.  The clinics provide high-quality, easy to access care, with affordable fees, evening and weekend hours and both walk-in and appointment bookings for patients.

The focus of the group is to improve the health and wellbeing across the community. The health network’s teams include GPs, operations managers, nurses, receptionists, clinical assistants and clinical family navigators.

The group offers contracts from 12 months through to longer term permanent agreements. Working hours including weekends are clinic opening hour dependent. There is supervision and colleagial support available in all practices and the group are experienced in employing GPs from the UK so can offer lots of practical support settling in as well as the financial package available.

Your working day will be split into two sessions with a break for lunch. Appointment times are 15 minutes allowing much more time with patients. Each practice have nursing and administration support. They have a separate team to book patient appointments so the administration staff are on hand to help with paperwork. The practices have support from mental health workers and experienced nursing staff.

The group offer a comprehensive induction package with continuing medical education and internal training so you settle well into life in New Zealand.

Whangarei is a thriving subtropical city with a vibrant arts community.  Only 35 minutes flight from Auckland or a 2 1/2 hour drive.  The Quayside is a popular destination to sit and relax and watch the boats come past or Explore the City Centre Street Art walk with 15 scale art murals.
