GP Job North Island – The Practice

A beautiful modern practice based only a 1 hour drive from Wellington are seeking a GP to join their team. This is a spectacular practice with a great, friendly team. There are 2 GPs with a team of 4 nurses and 4 admin staff. 

The practice looks after a mix of patients, all ages and ethnicities. There is radiology in house, a physio and visiting specialists. The pharmacy is close by the hospital is 30 minutes away. 

The opening hours of the practice are 8.30am – 8pm. 

The position is either full time (5 days) or fewer, depending on how you wish to work. There is accommodation provided; a brand new 3 bedroom house in the centre of the town. This is place for the length of your contract up to 2 years. 

You will see only 18 – 20 patients per day with built in time for paperwork. It is a very supportive well run general practice with a great extended support network of local GPs. The wider group provide everything you need to settle into the local community. 

The Location

The practice is based  in the Wairarapa region of the north island of New Zealand. It is only a 1 hour drive from Wellington with an excellent climate. The area is on a popular tourist route with wineries, excellent restaurants and local shops. 

You will have the opportunity to have a relaxed pace of life, short commute to work with little traffic and beautiful scenery yet only 1 hour to Wellington with an international airport.
