GP Job Melbourne – The Practice

A traditional, family general practice with a long-standing, excellent reputation in the local area is looking for an additional 2 GPs to join the team.

The practice is located in the western suburbs of the city, it is an easy 20-minute drive from the city if you want to have the buzz of the cosmopolitan Melbourne lifestyle.

This is a GP-run practice managed by an Australian GP who has a long-standing reputation in the area. It is well established with a steady patient base with patients coming from the local and surrounding area. The practice is currently fully bulk billing with a focus on chronic disease and managing long-term patient care.

It is an incredibly friendly environment with 3 GPs and nursing staff. The focus is on creating a friendly, happy team in a caring environment. It is an appointment-based traditional GP practice with standard 15-minute appointments. Close by, there is a chemist and dentist with podiatry located at the practice.

The position is 8 or 9 sessions per week and you will be offered 70% of billings. The practice is open 8 am – 5 pm for booked appointments, seeing approximately 5 patients per hour. There is no weekend work however the GP is happy to open the practice should you wish to practise at the weekend. You will have your own room and special interests will be accommodated.

The team is looking for an all-round good GP who is passionate about providing excellent patient care.

Income potential is high up to $400K. There is a minimum guarantee in place of $160 per hour whilst you build your practice and get used to the new healthcare system. You will be busy quickly however as there is a waiting list of patients.
