GP Job Hastings – The Practice

Located near Hastings, this practice offers a wide range of medical, nursing and support services including minor operations and skin lesion services. They have a friendly, fun team of 6 doctors and nursing and support staff.

The team look after 10,000 enrolled patients and are seeking a new GP due to a doctor retiring and patient demand. The practice is run by a Practice Manager who has put excellent procedures and welcome changes into place such as setting up a system for patient reviews and introducing Emergency care practitioners (ECPs) to manage the after hours and weekend work.

The extended team include 2 Nurse Practitioners, 3 ECPs and a team of administration staff. The practice is co-located with Pharmacy, Pathology, Physio, Research and Cosmetic clinic.

The GP Job Hawkes Bay

Joining an established team in this GP owned practice, you will be offered full flexibility over number of sessions and your working hours. The practice looks after a primarily affluent patient base. You will see 3 patients per hour at 15 minute appointments with 15 minutes for paperwork. The team work really well together, have lots of laughs and team and team events.

They are keen for GPs to have their own area of specialty so although not essential, any areas of interest are encouraged. Start date is flexible, once paperwork is complete.

The Location

The practice is based in a beautiful area close to many local wineries and 15 minutes to Hastings. There are excellent local schools and every type of sports facility you can imagine. It’s only 20 minutes to the beach and there are excellent paths for running and mountain biking.
