GP Job Coromandel- The Practice
This is a 4 GP medical centre based in a beautiful beachside town on the north island of New Zealand. It is at the foot of the Coromandel Peninsula and the western side of the Bay of Plenty.
The practice is owned and run by a UK trained GP who has made NZ her home for many years. Clinic hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm with one evening per week late clinic until 7pm.
The Practice have 5 nurses to support doctors with a team of admin staff. There are local pharmacies nearby with Pathology, allied health and Optician close by. The practice has a patient population of almost 5000 and teaches local medical students. It is a purpose built, modern practice with excellent facilities.
The Location
The practice is set in a historic town just north of the city of Tauranga. Just a short drive from the town is the local beach which offers sweeping white sand, and is one of the safest surf beaches in New Zealand. It is home to little boutique shops and restaurants. The town has primary schools and a high school with local shopping.
The area, with a population of 5000 people, is coveted by both holidaymakers and city escapees. It is an easy proximity to Auckland, Hamilton and the Coromandel and rest of the Bay of Plenty. Summers are busy with tourists soaking up the Kiwi holiday vibe.
