GP Job – The Practice

We’re looking for a GP to join an incredible practice in Auckland’s suburbs. Set in a lovely semi-rural setting yet only a 40 minute drive to Auckland

The practice has 8.5 Full time equivalent GPs, many of those from the UK and Netherlands. The team include Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Prescribers, Nursing staff and Community Health staff. The team look after 17000 patients.

The practice provides a wide variety of specialty clinics, rest home care and more so there are areas where you can specialise if you wish. Lots of support available for continuing education.

The team are looking for doctors who have empathy, compassion and a commitment to providing the best healthcare.

 

The Location

The region is a lovely place to live and work. It is a semi-rural area, but still only 40 minutes drive to Auckland city centre. This region is the vegetable growing capital of NZ due to the plentiful volcanic soils and great climate. The region is a mix of green lush rolling hills, small towns, farmland and native bush.

You can live closer to Auckland which is a 40 minute drive, there is a train line with is currently being upgraded, back in action again in 2024. There is the Manukau harbour, West coast beaches, and Waikato river close by, and the many beautiful Coromandel beaches are only 1.5 hours drive away.

You will find the ultimate work-life balance and that commute to work will be a thing of your past. There are a vast range of beautiful small towns, all in close proximity to Auckland (45 mins to CBD), but far enough away to avoid the traffic jams. On your doorstep there are beautiful beaches, native bush walks, lush farmlands, great markets, and thriving friendly rural communities.
