GP Job Coromandel Coast- The Practice

This is a GP owned medical centre based on the beautiful Coromandel Coast. The practice is owned by 3 Directors, 2 of whom are UK trained GPs who have made the area their home. The practice has recently merged with another centre and is across 2 sites within 2 mins walk. There are 6 GPs in total. There is a patient population of 8000 and with an intended expansion of the practice, the patient population will grow. They are therefore looking for an additional GP.

Most GPs work 4 days per week with a share in the weekend on-call. The weekend shift is from 5 pm on Friday to 8 am on Monday and includes a short clinic on Saturday and Sunday. There is one overnight call per week however this is nurse triaged and it rare to receive a phone call on this shift.

Patients are booked in at 15-minute consultations in a 4-hour session with time for paperwork and telephone enquiries. There is an excellent nursing team to support GPs.

The team are looking for an all-round good GP. This is a friendly, teaching practice with lots of support settling in on both a professional and personal level. They offer an excellent salary with flexibility on hours and start date.

The practice will pay the Medical Council fees and your Medical Indemnity insurance. There is also a study budget in place for the year to attend courses and conferences.
