You will be part of a team providing primary and continuing medical care for enrolled patients with full support and great induction / orientation process.

This is a roving locum position where you will be required to work at several practices across the region providing a great opportunity to see the local area and learn new skills.

Hours of work are Monday – Friday with 2 sessions between 3.5 – 4 hours each day. Appointments are booked at 10 – 15 minute intervals. You will be recognised for who you are and what you do, you’ll have the time needed to develop strong relationships with patients and colleagues.

The Location
South Canterbury, in the central south island stretches from the southern alps to the east coast with Timaru as it’s main city. Snowy mountains, glaciers, rivers, blue lakes and rolling hills; the landscape is spectacular. In 2 hours you can drive from beach to ski fields, go jet boating, climbing, fishing and surfing.
Summer temperatures quite often climb into the 30s whilst winters can get down to freezing. South Canterbury is only a short drive from Christchurch where there is an international airport and easy transfers to the rest of New Zealand.
