The Practice
This is a busy 6 GP practice in the northern suburbs of Melbourne who are seeking another doctor due to patient demand. The current doctors are fully booked and they are turning patients away.
In an established practice in a shopping centre in a Melbourne suburb only a 30-minute drive from Melbourne centre, the practice has 10 consulting rooms and a 3-bed treatment room, allied health and day procedure room. There are also visiting specialists to the practice.
Opening hours are 9am – 9pm during the week and 9-6pm on the weekend. This is a bulk billing practice with a lower socio-economic patient base so you will see lots of young families, immigrants, women’s health and chronic disease care.
Appointments are scheduled at 10-minute intervals however you can schedule your day as you see fit.
The Position
- Full time position – approx. 40 hours per week
- 70% of billings – Outstanding income potential – some doctors earning $500K
- Low turnover of staff – most have been with practice since established 5 years ago
- Full time nursing support
- Lots of practical support from practice manager, help to find somewhere to live etc
- 2 year contract minimum
- Share in weekend and evening working with flexibility on start times
- Friendly group of GPs

The practice in based in a suburb approximately a 30-minute drive from central Melbourne and 40 minutes to St Kilda. It is a fast growing, quieter suburb of Melbourne.
